11 May GreenA chronicles in Spain
There’s a lot to be said about our annual meeting in Albacete in March. Spain has been a treat and our partners in Ideas Medioambientales are extraordinary hosts.
But we’d like to pause for a moment and share the power of what we can do together. And it’s not the professional aspects, which obviously are important, and it’s not the innovation that comes from putting together career-driven and experienced heads.
It’s all about the power of creatives who come together in friendship and silliness and great humour, the power of people remembering that being human is the easiest and the single most powerful tool at our disposal in this mad, chaotic, mess of a world we inhabit. That work can come from play, that sharing emotion and life experiences and little stolen moments away from the laptop or the meeting room can be more effective and more clarifying than anything excels and strategies can offer.
We’ll come back to the seriousness of the environmental world in a bit, but we’d like you to take a moment and experience the fun professionals can have when they step outside the comfort zone of everyday work routines.
Too often we forget who we are beyond work, how to talk to each other, why we are here. It’s not just to push forward financial goals and incentives, but to cooperate and create together. All the rest comes as a bonus.
